Hunger… Why does it STILL exist?

Hunger… No,it’s not the kind of hunger you feel when you haven’t eaten in 2 or 3 hours. It’s not the kind of hunger you feel when you come home late and you don’t get the chance to have dinner so you wake up hungry.

This is HUNGER:

Do you see their faces? Their bodies?

I wonder how many days they spend without eating. How many nights they go to bed ( if they even own beds) starving !

How is this possible !? We’re in the 21st century, and we still can’t find solutions for this. That’s so unfair!

This is the terrible impact of malnutrition in Africa, and in the world. They may have a little to eat, but that’s NOT enough ! We don’t seem to understand that this malnutrition is effecting their development.

Worldwide , one in four children is stunted!

stunted children

When stunted children don’t reach their potential, neither do their countries. Imagine a country, where all its people have nothing to eat, and live in poverty.  Will they be able to be productive? Will the children be able to learn and work?! NO.

This is a crisis. And it has to change.

They don’t deserve this !! What did they ever do wrong!? Why are they paying the price ?!

I know a lot of organizations are trying to help, providing nutrition and food. But it’s still  not enough.

They’re kids after all… They were born and obliged to live like this. But the question is; why do married people want to have children , not just one, but many, and they even can’t provide a healthy lifestyle. HEALTH IS THE KEY PEOPLE !!!!

This HAS TO CHANGE.

Sooner rather than later..

Please, pray for them. If you can’t give them food and a safe home, at least… pray !

  1. It breaks my heart to see the plight Children of the world are in. Thank you for sharing their situation.
Eradicate poverty and hunger is number one on the Millennium dev goal which should have been achieved by 2010. But uptill now, we’re still struggling…

  2. Hunger is forgotten. War and terror blocked out the cries of the homeless, the hungry and the sick. We must remind people. Need to lead with concern, kindness and love. Send food, water and medicine. Not guns or soldiers. A powerful blog my friend.
