What’s “Earth Hour”
Earth Hour is a worldwide movement for the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held worldwide annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the last Saturday in March, as a symbol for their commitment to the planet. It was famously started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Since then it has grown to engage more than 7000 cities and towns worldwide. Today, Earth Hour engages a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues. The one-hour event continues to remain the key driver of the now larger movement.
Why Should We Participate In Earth Hour?
Well as you can see that Earth Hour is so important, it reduces the use of Electric power. Earth needs and deserves this kind of Input from all of us. WE are actually killing Earth by increasing the amount of electric power that is freeing a big amount of Co2 Carbon dioxide.
What should we do more?
well, we actually need to do a lot more. Mother Nature is dying, and when Mother Nature is infected, WE are too. imagine living in a world with no Water, Electric Power, Fresh Air, ect…
So, in my opinion ( and i’m sure many agree with me ) this kind of event should be done at least once a month, so we can really help Earth.
BUT , we should beware , and clever. we should try and do more for the only Earth we’ve ever knew.
Let’s think about more things and give more to our planet, and reduce the amount of pollution.
